Grading System
SECOND SERVE PADEL – OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM
Transparent. Trusted. Play-Ready.
At Second Serve Padel, every racket we sell goes through a strict authentication and inspection process.
Our goal is simple:
to give you complete confidence in what you’re buying — every single time.
That’s why we’ve created a clear and consistent 5-tier grading system (A+ to D) used across all racket listings.
No surprises. No guesswork. Just honest, accurate condition ratings you can trust.
How We Grade Every Racket
Before any racket is listed, we perform a full inspection that includes:
✔️ Structural integrity check
✔️ Face texture & carbon condition
✔️ Frame edges / impact points
✔️ Grip & handle condition
✔️ Balance + weight check
✔️ Authenticity verification
✔️ Cosmetic inspection (scratches, chips, markings)
✔️ Full clean + fresh over-grip applied (for most rackets)
Only once a racket passes all safety and authenticity checks is it graded and listed.
OUR 5 GRADES – A+, A, B, C, D

Our highest grade. These rackets are essentially brand new.
Criteria:
Zero cosmetic marks
No scratches, chips, or scuffs
Perfect surface texture
Brand new or flawless grip
No signs of use
Balance and weight unchanged from factory spec
Ideal for:
Players who want a near-new racket at a great second-hand price.
A — Excellent Condition
Lightly used but still in outstanding shape.
Criteria:
Very minimal cosmetic wear
No structural damage
Surface texture almost perfect
Grip near-new or newly replaced
Only tiny marks visible on close inspection
Ideal for:
Players who want premium condition at a reduced cost.
B — Good Condition
Well-maintained rackets with normal, honest signs of play.
Criteria:
Light scratches or minor wear on frame
No cracks, dents, or structural issues
Grip usually replaced or refreshed
Fully playable with strong performance
Surface texture slightly worn but effective
Ideal for:
Players looking for great value with strong performance.
C — Fair / Heavily Used Condition
Truthfully used, but still 100% safe and fully playable.
Criteria:
More noticeable wear: scuffs, paint chips, faded graphics
Grip replaced
Surface texture visibly worn
No cracks or dangerous frame damage
Cosmetic wear does not affect performance
Ideal for:
Beginners, casual players, or budget-focused customers.
D — Entry-Level / Training Condition
Heavily worn but still structurally sound.

Heavy cosmetic marks, scuffing, edge wear
Grip replaced
Very worn aesthetics
No cracks or structural weakness
Still suitable for training, drills, or beginners
Ideal for:
New players on a budget, club loaners, training environments.
Our Non-Negotiables
We never sell rackets with:
❌ Cracks
❌ Structural damage
❌ Delamination
❌ Warped frames
❌ Unsafe or compromised carbon
❌ Counterfeit branding or suspicious authenticity
If a racket fails these checks, it does not enter the marketplace.
Your safety and trust come first.
